Fleas

I have 3 week old kittens. The mother as well as the kittens have fleas. As all OTC flea products say do not use if cat is nursing or kittens are under 12 weeks what steps can I take to rid them of fleas? I bathed mother & kittens in antibacterial soap & washed all bedding but that is very temporary solution.

Nursing kittens should be bathed every 3 weeks in mild soap and water or flea combed to get rid of the fleas.

FOOD GRADE DIATOMACEOUS EARTH can be used on the mom and kittens and the bedding to kill the fleas and the larvae.
